In the field of industrial equipment maintenance, the vibrating screen exciter is one of the key equipment. During its maintenance process, a series of steps and standards must be followed to ensure its reliability and durability. The maintenance process of the vibrating screen exciter includes a series of strict operations, from taking photos and archiving the original machine state at the factory to the comprehensive process of painting and shipping. Each step significantly affects the results of the maintenance quality. In order to ensure the quality of maintenance, the various requirements in the maintenance of the vibrating screen exciter are also particularly critical. From bearings to housings, to gears and other parts, relevant standards and specifications must be strictly followed to ensure that the expected working performance can be achieved after maintenance.

1) Bearings

Must be replaced during maintenance, and high-quality SKF vibrating screen bearings must be selected to ensure that they can withstand high-intensity vibration working environment and maintain long-term stable operation. Careful installation and adjustment work is also essential to ensure the correct installation position and normal working state of the bearings.

2) Seals

Replacement of seals is an important guarantee to ensure the normal operation of the exciter. When replacing, high-quality seals that match the originals must be selected to ensure that they can effectively prevent the leakage of lubricating oil or other substances, thereby protecting internal parts from damage.

3) Box body

The box body with cracks, deformation, thread damage and wear must be replaced; when the box body hole and the bearing outer ring installation position are worn and the bearing does not meet the assembly requirements, it must be replaced. The new box body should be made of high-strength ductile iron QT400-12 material, without defects such as slag inclusions, pores, cracks, etc. and ultrasonic flaw detection to ensure its durability and stability. During the box body processing, the precision processing process of the CNC machining center should be strictly implemented to ensure the accuracy and stability of the box body.

4) Shaft

During the maintenance process, the replacement of the shaft is a key link to ensure the normal operation of the vibrating screen exciter. If there are obvious concave and convex marks on the surface of the shaft, the ovality of the bearing position and the gear position end is ≥0.01mm, and the assembly dimensions of the shaft and the inner ring of the bearing do not meet the requirements, it must be replaced. The replacement shaft is made of alloy structural steel 42CrMo processed by CNC machine tools, which can ensure that it has good strength and wear resistance. During the installation process, it should be ensured that the assembly dimensions of the shaft and the inner ring of the bearing meet the requirements to ensure operation. 

4) Gears

During maintenance, gear replacement is the key to ensure the normal operation of the transmission system. Gears must be replaced when pitting and broken teeth, excessive surface wear, surface spots falling off, surface creep deformation, etc. appear, and the replacement gear accuracy level is 5-level accuracy, and the gear meshing clearance is ≤0.24mm. During the replacement process, the meshing clearance of the gear should be controlled within the appropriate range to ensure the normal operation and work efficiency of the transmission system.

5) Other parts

Check the parts according to the drawings, and those that exceed the tolerance must be replaced. The replacement parts are self-made products to ensure the stable operation and long-term reliability of the overall system.

6) Standard parts

All standard parts must be replaced with 8.8-level high-strength galvanized bolts to ensure that the connection of each component is stable and reliable, and avoid safety hazards and equipment failures caused by loosening or falling off.

7) Test specifications

After the vibrating screen exciter is repaired, strict tests must be carried out. The test time is ≥36h, the operating temperature rise is ≤60℃, the noise is ≤85db (A), and there is no abnormal sound or oil leakage, which is considered qualified.

8) Painting specifications

During the painting process, the color code and paint should be confirmed according to the original machine color, and the paint film thickness should be ≥0.3mm. In particular, for the case where the interior of the box needs to be repaired due to the damage of the paint film, the repair work must be carried out carefully to ensure its durability and appearance integrity.

1) Box

Observe whether the box has cracks, deformation, thread damage, wear and other defects. For boxes without obvious defects, use special tools such as internal diameter dial indicator and micrometer to check the dimensions of the box. Boxes that pass the inspection are arranged for ultrasonic flaw detection. The box can only be put into use after the flaw detection is qualified. For boxes with deformation that is difficult to confirm, the coaxiality of the box is checked and determined by three coordinates, and qualified boxes can be used.

2) Gears
First observe whether there are pitting and broken teeth, excessive surface wear, surface spot shedding, surface creep deformation and other phenomena; after finding no problems, use special tools such as internal diameter dial gauge and micrometer to check the dimensions of the gears; the gears that pass the dimension inspection are subjected to magnetic powder + ultrasonic flaw detection; only the gears that pass the flaw detection can be put into use. For gears with doubts such as deformation that is difficult to confirm, a gear detector is arranged to review and determine the tooth shape, and only qualified gears can be used.

3) Shafts

First observe whether there are obvious bumps and wear marks on the surface of the shaft; after finding no problems, use special tools such as micrometer to check the dimensions of the shaft; after passing the inspection, the shaft is subjected to magnetic powder + ultrasonic flaw detection; only qualified gears can be used. For shaft parts whose deformation and coaxiality changes are difficult to determine, three-coordinate coaxiality inspection is arranged, and only qualified ones can be used.

4) Assembly

Ensure the cleanliness of the assembly area. Ultrasonic cleaning is required before assembly to ensure that all parts are clean and free of stains; check the specified assembly and pressing tools and repair them when necessary; assemble and inspect according to process specifications; arrange for qualified products to be tested to ensure compliance with relevant specifications and standards.

In the maintenance process, in addition to strictly following the maintenance process, it is also crucial to comply with the precautions. In particular, more accurate and detailed measures need to be taken in the monitoring and inspection of the box, gears, shafts and assembly process. This not only includes the verification of various dimensions, but also requires the use of detection tools and technologies, such as magnetic powder + ultrasonic flaw detection and three-coordinate, to ensure that the vibrating screen exciter after maintenance can meet the relevant test specifications and standards. Only by strictly following these rigorous maintenance precautions can the reliability and stability of the maintenance quality be guaranteed, and then its efficient and stable operation in industrial production can be guaranteed.
