Plate Vibrating Feeder

Plate vibrating feeders offer efficient and reliable material handling solutions for industries requiring controlled feeding of bulk materials or parts along a linear conveyor path. Their robust construction, versatility, and adjustability make them suitable for a wide range of applications in diverse industrial settings.
  • Description

A plate vibrating feeder, also known as a plate feeder or reciprocating feeder, is a type of vibrating feeder commonly used in industries such as mining, aggregates, construction, and recycling. These feeders are characterized by a flat or trough-shaped plate that moves back and forth in a linear motion to convey bulk materials or parts along a conveyor path.

Plate Vibrating Feeder Characteristics

The apron feeder has the outstanding advantages of large traction, low power consumption, low wear and tear, less material leakage, stable operation, reliable work, long service life, convenient maintenance, etc.

1. The groove plate adopts double arc plates to effectively prevent material leakage.

2. The traction chain adopts a separate structure for load-bearing and traction, which improves the board feeder's ability to withstand impact loads.

3. The tail tensioning device is equipped with a disc spring, which can slow down the impact load of the chain and increase the service life of the chain.

4. The plate vibrating feeder is composed of five parts: head drive device, tail wheel device, tension device, chain plate and frame.

5. There are sleepers at the tail to absorb shock, and there is a special shock-absorbing roller support in the middle, which improves the force conditions of large materials impacting the rollers and groove plates on both sides, and improves the service life of running parts.

6. The specially strengthened head cover and the lower cover are separable on the left and right, which does not hinder the lifting of the crusher rotor body.

7. The head is equipped with a sprocket with 13-15 teeth, and the odd and even teeth are driven separately, which increases the life.

8. The sprocket of the head device is cut into 3 teeth, and the teeth can be replaced without disassembling the chain plate, which is easy to maintain.

9. There are open type, planetary type and suspension type for the transmission type.

Working Principle of BW Plate Vibrating Feeder

The motor drives the front and rear sprockets to rotate through the decelerating device, and the sprocket teeth drive the traction chain. The plate chain conveyor can be used to transport various block or loose materials from the warehouse to the crusher, conveyor or other working machinery in a horizontal or inclined direction. .

The apron feeder is composed of a transmission system, a chain plate conveying mechanism, a silo and a frame; the chain plates, chains, bolts, rollers, etc. of the conveying mechanism are vulnerable parts, and wear first with different strengths and frequencies. Deformation requires the user to replace the plate feeder. It has high rigidity and can adapt to large pieces of material of a certain size. The large silo volume can effectively shorten the feeding time of the forklift. At the same time, the chain plate transmission speed is slow and the load capacity is large.

Plate Vibrating Feeder Applications

Mining and Quarrying: Plate vibrating feeders are commonly used in mining and quarrying operations for transporting bulk materials such as ores, aggregates, and minerals from primary crushers or storage bins to downstream processing equipment.

Construction: They find applications in construction sites for handling aggregates, sand, gravel, and other bulk materials used in building and infrastructure projects.

Recycling: Plate feeders are utilized in recycling facilities for conveying and sorting various recyclable materials such as metals, plastics, glass, and paper.

Coal Handling: In coal-fired power plants and coal mines, plate vibrating feeders are used for transporting coal and other bulk materials from storage bins or hoppers to crushers, screens, or conveyors.

Bulk Material Handling: They are employed in various industries for transporting and distributing bulk materials such as fertilizers, cement, grains, and wood chips.
